Functional Nutrition Services

The Root-Cause Approach

At Seed of Health, food and lifestyle are medicine. Instead of applying a one-size-fits-all plan, we take a deep dive into your health history, symptoms, lifestyle, and nutrition to understand what's truly driving your health concerns — then build a targeted plan around it.

The goal isn't a quick fix. It's long-term improvement in how you feel, function, and show up in the life you've built.

Here's what that process looks like, step by step.

Initial Consultation

Your Initial Consultation is a comprehensive one-on-one session designed to understand your current health concerns, symptoms, and history. Together, we'll start exploring the potential root causes of your imbalances.

You'll leave with a better picture of what's likely driving your symptoms, plus personalized next-step recommendations to begin restoring balance and function.

Comprehensive Blood Work

For every client, the next step after your Initial Consultation is a full blood panel — reviewed through a functional lens, not just standard reference ranges.

Most annual checkups only flag a problem once it's already advanced. I look for the early patterns and imbalances hiding inside "normal" results, so we can course-correct before symptoms get worse.

Functional Lab Testing

Blood work is a strong foundation, but sometimes we need to look even deeper. Functional lab testing can help us identify more complex issues — like how your body metabolizes hormones, how well your gut is actually functioning, and how your genetics shape the way you respond to your environment. These tests aren't about screening for disease; they're about understanding your unique physiology, so your protocol is built around what's actually happening in your body — personalized and intentional. If you've done the work — eating well, managing stress, getting your labs checked — and you're still dealing with symptoms that don't add up on paper, this is often where the missing piece gets found.

Functional lab testing can include:

  • Hormone and cortisol testing (DUTCH)

  • Stool testing (GI mapping)

  • Genetic testing (3X4)

  • Organic acid testing (OAT)

Ongoing Follow-Up Visits

Healing isn't linear, and your plan shouldn't be static. Follow-up visits are where we track your progress, adjust your protocol as your body responds, and keep you accountable to the changes that actually move the needle.

Session frequency and duration are tailored to your individual needs — some clients want closer support early on, others check in less often once they've found their rhythm. This is where the real transformation happens: not in the first session, but in the steady work that follows.

General Nutrition & Wellness

Every aspect of your health is influenced by the way you nourish your body. Nutrition and lifestyle choices play a foundational role in how your body functions, heals, and adapts.

The foods you eat directly impact the health of your gut and overall physiology, while your daily habits—how you move, rest, and manage stress—shape your body’s ability to function optimally.

This philosophy is at the core of my 1:1 offerings. Rather than relying on quick fixes, we focus on building a strong foundation through personalized nutrition and lifestyle strategies that support long-term, sustainable results.
